Advanced Software Engineer for Linux
About The Position
M9 Solutions is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to work hybrid remote/on-site on a government contract for a client located in Scottsdale, AZ. An active Secret clearance is required. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications or related Science, Engineering or Mathematics fields, ensuring they meet user requirements and perform efficiently. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions and troubleshoot issues is also a key part of the role. Specifically, the engineer will design the next generation of cryptographic solutions as a member of a cross-functional team.
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 3 years relevant experience.
- Ability to lead the software development process.
- Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways.
- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success.
- Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for self and others.
- Experience developing Linux applications for embedded systems.
- Capable of proposing high quality and high performing solutions with minimal input.
- Skilled in embedded Linux debugging techniques.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Vitis/Petalinux/Xilinx SoC (Zynq Ultrascale+/Versal).
- Experience with SW Defined Radio or Satellite applications.
- Experience with Secure Red/Black Separation architecture.
- Experience with Docker and podman on Linux.
- Experience with Windriver Linux.
