About The Position

Honeywell Aerospace is hiring an Advanced Software Engineer - DevSecOps to support software integration projects and deliver high-quality software aligned with customer needs and industry standards. The role supports multiple programs and collaborates across teams to improve software development and deployment processes through DevSecOps practices. The engineer will maintain configuration management and CI/CD systems, automate processes with scripts, modernize the Aerospace Software Production System (AeroSPS) infrastructure, and digitize metrics and health monitoring for infrastructure and build systems.

The position is based in Phoenix, Arizona (Deer Valley). The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a hybrid arrangement of three days in the office and two days remote after the first 90 days. The role reports to a Senior Engineering Manager. Candidates must meet the stated U.S. person or export authorization requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience focused on DevSecOps.
• Strong knowledge of configuration management systems, including ClearCase, Atlassian Bitbucket, and Git.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and Batch, and experience with Makefile.
• Demonstrated ability to lead integration activities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or have the ability to obtain export authorization.

Responsibilities

• Support software integration activities for multiple programs and ensure collaboration across teams.
• Implement and manage DevSecOps practices to improve software development and deployment processes.
• Maintain code integrity and version control using configuration management systems such as ClearCase, Bitbucket, and Git.
• Use CI/CD pipeline, code quality, and security applications, including Bitbucket, GitHub, Bamboo, SonarQube, Coverity, and Black Duck.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, Batch, and Makefile.
• Upgrade the current AeroSPS infrastructure to a modern, sustainable DevOps framework.
• Support digitization of metrics and health monitoring for infrastructure and build systems.
• Lead integration activities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
