About The Position

The Advanced Skills School Psychologist – Statewide Assessment Hub will be assigned to work within the new Statewide Assessment Hub service. The School Psychology Statewide Assessment Hub has been established to improve the timeliness and accessibility of student assessments across the state. The Advanced Skills School Psychologist working within the Hub will deliver professional leadership and support to School Psychologists. Under the professional direction of the Senior School Psychologists, and the operational management of Professional Practice Lead of School Psychology, the Advanced Skills School Psychologist will assist in building the capacity of school communities to improve students’ access, participation, and educational achievement. Those allocated to work within the Hub will perform specific duties relating to the Hub environment. Work in schools as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a child and adolescent psychological service which supports students and families. Contribute to capacity building of school communities to improve access, participation, and achievement of students. Assist the Senior School Psychologist with the general leadership and management of the Learning Service School Psychology team.

Requirements

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
  • Qualifications as established by the Tasmanian Industrial Commission in the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award.
  • General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia in accordance with the provisions of the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Tasmania) Act 2010.
  • Approval from the Psychology Board of Australia as a Board-approved supervisor.
