About The Position

We’re hiring an Advanced Quality Engineer (AQE) to support Advanced Quality Planning across the product lifecycle—from concept through launch and stabilization. Reporting to the Quality Engineering Manager , this role is part of the Global Quality & Product Development organization . The position is hybrid , with time spent in office, plant, and laboratory environments, and requires travel up to 30–50% depending on program needs. The Quality Engineering team ensures robust product and process development for EV systems and battery technologies , driving risk identification, validation readiness, and customer satisfaction. Reporting into the Global Quality leadership team , this group plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer-specific requirements, and functional safety practices. You’ll deliver measurable impact by: Supporting deployment of APQP/PPAP standards and customer-specific requirements across new product programs. Driving execution of PFMEA, Control Plans, and validation protocols to ensure robust product launches. Leading risk assessments and structured problem-solving (5-Why, Ishikawa, DMAIC) to prevent and resolve quality issues. Ensuring ASPICE and functional safety compliance for EV systems and software. Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and program managers to meet program milestones. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, testing, and quality systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related).
  • 2–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering (automotive preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Core Tools, and IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Ability to travel 30–50% and work across office, plant, and lab environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EV systems, electrochemistry, or battery manufacturing .
  • Familiarity with ASPICE practices and functional safety requirements.
  • Proficiency in Minitab/statistical software and systems traceability tools (JAMA/JIRA).
  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and contamination control .
