Advanced Provider Fellow - Emergency Medicine
About The Position
This is a 12.5-month Emergency Medicine Fellowship program at Riverside University Health System - Medical Center, designed to train Advanced Providers (APs) in Emergency Medicine through didactic and clinical experience. The program includes 2100 clinical hours in acute EM care, weekly lecture time, and 10 months (40 weeks) of core Emergency Department time. Off-service rotations include Internal Medicine, ICU, a Bedside POCUS Ultrasound Course, and specialty rotation tracks. Fellows will also attend the Advanced Trauma and Life Support Course (ATLS) at RUHS. Focused training will cover clinical efficiency, documentation, billing, scribe utilization, and patient throughput. This is a paid fellowship that includes benefits and malpractice insurance.
Requirements
- Physician Assistant applicants must be eligible and/or possess NCCPA certification or be a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program.
- Nurse Practitioner applicants must be an ENP and eligible and/or possess AANC or AANP certification or be a graduate of a CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
- Must be licensed to practice in the State of California.
- Eligible for and/or possess current DEA licensure (must be fully licensed by the start of the program).
- Current certification in ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
Nice To Haves
- Previous EMS/ED work experience is highly desirable but not required.
Responsibilities
