Honeywell Connected Enterprises (HCE) is expanding and seeks an Advanced Project Engineer for the HCE Program Management Office (PMO). As an Advanced Project Engineer you will play a critical role in the delivery execution and management of leading edge software products that drive outcomes for Honeywell Automation's customer base. Your expertise in technical project management and problem-solving will be instrumental in shaping the future of our technology and industry solutions. You will report directly to our Director of Program Management in Atlanta, GA on a hybrid work schedule. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of technical program management experience with next-generation software product development programs. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build influential partnerships are essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Product Development program management including experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Expertise working with stakeholders at various levels and escalate with right approach and influence decision making.
  • Ability to proactively Identify, Analyze, Mitigate and Address Risks and Issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to control project scope in alignment with product and customer roadmap and manage changes with involvement of key stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in a specific industry relevant to the products being developed, such as technology, automotive, or aerospace.
  • Experience in SaaS and Cloud product development and deployments at scale is a plus
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence) and product development tools.
  • Ability to establish influential partnerships at all organizational levels
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to engage with business leaders at a strategic level
  • Capability to lead change; build high-performing global teams within a matrix environment and model high-performance standards
  • Execution skills characterized by persistent drive for results, utilizing effective program management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Acquire cross-functional team members
  • Conduct Project Kickoff
  • Obtain Product Funding and Ensure Internal and External Resource Planning
  • Coordinate Product Scope, Compliance scoping, Security Scoping, Customer Support and Operations Models
  • Create Detailed Project Plan and Schedule
  • Oversee the creation of Product SKUs, Scope of work (SOW) documents and Coordinate Procurement of External Resources and Services
  • Conduct Risks Assessment and Mitigation Plans
  • Baseline Plan, Define Dependencies and Obtain Commitments
  • Monitor program deviations, and regularly assess program performance and risks and mitigate including escalation when necessary
  • Manage program financials and address deviations.
  • Coordinate product and security approvals, customer interactions, and periodic meetings across functional teams.
  • Proactively Identify, Analyze, Mitigate and Address Risks and Issues
  • Manage Stakeholders at different levels including reporting, enabling decision making & escalations
  • Facilitate readiness assessments and obtain release sign offs
  • Support in, pricing setup, support workflows, and marketing launch deliverables
