KBR is seeking an Advanced Program Support Technician (2nd Shift) to support their SPACE SUIT DESIGN TEAM for KBR’s Science and Space division. This role is part of establishing new 2nd Shift operations, and the ideal candidate will be capable of being qualified in multiple working areas while helping to stand up these operations. The technician will be responsible for manufacturing, building, testing, and maintenance of aerospace flight hardware, including Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU) Suits and components, focusing on pressure integrity layers, EVA Tools and Crew Aids, ancillary equipment, advanced program and other contracts and subsystem equipment. Manufacturing equipment and processes include 3D printers, RF welders, and fabric laser and wheel cutters. Testing of hardware involves repair and maintenance, cleaning, inspection, Engineering Change (EC) incorporation, assembly, disassembly, and performance/functional testing. Repair and maintenance processes require the use of hazardous materials such as adhesives, lubricants, and solvents.
