Requirements
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited university or program
- Current, state license to practice in Ohio, or ability to obtain prior to start
- Certified as a Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP, or ability to obtain
- DEA license for Ohio, or willing to obtain prior to start
- BLS certification (minimally) required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in nursing care or relevant medical care
Nice To Haves
- At least 1-3 + years of experience as an Advanced Practitioner within Neurology
- Experience working within a team-based model of care (collaborative)
- Fluency and adaptability in EMR systems & technology
- Experience in Neuro, Sleep Medicine, and/or Movement Disorders, etc.
- Comfortability making decisions, creating care plans, and designating responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Outpatient neurology (with minimal call and light rounding)
- Orders lab studies and imaging when indicated.
- Identifies differential diagnosis and assesses severity of patient’s illness and establishes need/time for patient evaluation
