Advanced Practice Registered Nurse- Port Orange (Express Care)
About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner is an independent health care provider who works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team. This role is responsible for patient evaluation and care, which includes performing pertinent history and physical examinations, assessing patient needs, and delivering appropriate treatment. The Nurse Practitioner also provides nursing care and health teaching to an assigned group of adult and geriatric patients in an observation setting. All duties and responsibilities must be accomplished according to the collaborative practice agreement required by the State of Florida.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in nursing
- MS in nursing is required
- Licensed by the State of Florida
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice
- Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of acute chronic patient problems
Responsibilities
- Perform pertinent history and physical examination for patient evaluation and care
- Assess patient needs and deliver appropriate treatment
- Provide nursing care and health teaching to an assigned group of adult and geriatric patients in an observation setting
- Accomplish all duties and responsibilities according to the collaborative practice agreement required by the State of Florida
