About The Position

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs. With its main campus at Loyola University Medical Center, Loyola Medicine is part of a comprehensive three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital. The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides specialized care to burn patients in a primarily inpatient setting with an outpatient clinic component, focusing on healing, complication prevention, and continuity across the care continuum. Functions independently and collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage patient care. Performs comprehensive evaluations, develops and adjusts treatment plans, and performs advanced procedures as appropriate. Coordinates care across settings, facilitates safe transitions, and provides patient/family education to support recovery. Identifies and manages acute and complex conditions, ensuring timely intervention. Maintains clinical excellence in alignment with Loyola Medicine’s mission and standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
  • CPR – (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • Current Registered Nurse License - State of Illinois (RN)
  • Nursing Practitioner License – State of Illinois (APN)
  • Physician Assistant License – State of Illinois (PA)
