About The Position

Advanced practice provider (CRNP or PA-C) needed for an expanding Gastroenterology department in a large multispecialty group in Bryn Mawr, PA. This person will work under the supervision of physicians to provide high-quality patient care and will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating illnesses, evaluate patients for endoscopic procedures, and follow up patients for continuity of care. Full-time, 40hrs/week, no call/night/weekend/holiday coverage. Mix of office and hospital-based practice. Competitive benefits along with a starting salary of $100,000-120,000/yr contingent on level of experience. The department currently consists of 9 physicians and 3 APPs.

Requirements

CRNP or PA-C
Experience providing high-quality patient care
Ability to diagnose and treat illnesses
Ability to evaluate patients for endoscopic procedures
Ability to follow up patients for continuity of care
Proficiency with modern electronic health record systems
Ability to order and interpret test results
Ability to recommend treatment of patients as clinically appropriate
Ability to prescribe medical procedures or medications
Ability to educate patients on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders or diseases

Responsibilities

Work closely in a team approach with doctors, APPs, and well trained ancillary staff in day-to-day practice to examine, take a history, diagnosis and treat patients.
Uses modern electronic health record systems in both the office and hospital setting.
Order and interpret test results and recommend treatment of patients as clinically appropriate.
Prescribe medical procedures or medications as needed.
Educate patients on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders or diseases.
