About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for collaborating with the interdisciplinary surgical team to evaluate, plan, and implement patient assessments and management for post open-heart patients. This role specializes in Cardiac Surgery Critical Care and recommends appropriate course of treatment through medical diagnosis while working closely with the surgeons and intensivists. Requirements

  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary surgical team to evaluate, plan, and implement patient assessments and management of for the post open-heart patients.
  • Recommends appropriate course of treatment through medical diagnosis while working closely with the surgeons and intensivists.
  • Supervises treatments and obtains medical records, evaluates patients, order tests or scans, diagnoses diseases, and prescribes medications and prescriptions.
  • Provides post operative care of the cardiac surgery patient in the Cardiac PACU and Cardiovascular ICU.
  • Specializes in cardiac surgery and provides subject matter expertise and treatment.
  • Performs procedures such as central and arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, suturing.
  • Partners with surgeons and intensivists in developing treatment plans and advises physicians on changes in a patient's condition.
  • Monitors and ensures accuracy of patient medical records.

Responsibilities
