CV Surgical Advanced Practice Provider
About The Position
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for collaborating with the interdisciplinary surgical team to evaluate, plan, and implement patient assessments and management for post open-heart patients. This role specializes in Cardiac Surgery Critical Care and recommends appropriate course of treatment through medical diagnosis while working closely with the surgeons and intensivists. Requirements
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary surgical team to evaluate, plan, and implement patient assessments and management of for the post open-heart patients.
- Recommends appropriate course of treatment through medical diagnosis while working closely with the surgeons and intensivists.
- Supervises treatments and obtains medical records, evaluates patients, order tests or scans, diagnoses diseases, and prescribes medications and prescriptions.
- Provides post operative care of the cardiac surgery patient in the Cardiac PACU and Cardiovascular ICU.
- Specializes in cardiac surgery and provides subject matter expertise and treatment.
- Performs procedures such as central and arterial line placement, chest tube insertion, suturing.
- Partners with surgeons and intensivists in developing treatment plans and advises physicians on changes in a patient's condition.
- Monitors and ensures accuracy of patient medical records.
