This position, under the direction of a supervisory physician, is responsible for providing high-quality, general medical care and treatment to Oyate Health Center (OHC) patients. The role requires maintaining knowledge and proficiency in medical practices through continuing education and training, performing physical examinations, providing medical care for minor wounds and injuries, and administering vaccinations. The provider will collect and interpret diagnostic tests, document findings, and formulate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other health professionals. They will prescribe treatments, refer patients to specialists, and ensure accurate electronic health record documentation. Additionally, the provider will lead a care pod to enhance proactive and preventive care, incorporate disease management best practices, communicate test results directly to patients, and honor cultural-specific patient wishes into care plans. Compliance with federal laws and regulations, including HIPAA, is mandatory. The position also involves performing related duties as assigned.
