About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to provide direct and indirect patient care. You will be an integral part of the clinic's success. You will be responsible for evaluating and treating, managing acute health problems using evidence-based protocols, and creating and implementing appropriate treatment plans under the supervising physician. The position promises a wide range of challenges and opportunities, with the chance to significantly contribute to health and safety.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited NP or PA program
  • Active Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant license in Tennessee
  • Prescriptive authority
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience
  • BLS certification
  • Willingness to work 2x 12-hour shifts every Saturday and Sunday (Example shifts: 7a-7p or 11a-11p ET)
  • Successful completion of an accredited NP or PA program according to Tennessee State Law
  • License and Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Tennessee
  • Prescriptive authorization
  • Two years of relevant clinical experience
  • BLS/ACLS
  • DEA Certified
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
  • Strong computer literacy and typing skills.
  • Able to easily navigate applicable technology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Ability to follow written step-by-step instructions
  • Ability to concentrate, think, and learn
  • Ability to hear, see, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, lift, push, and pull.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to type at 65 words per minute
  • DEA license
  • Multi-state licensure
  • Experience in a fast-paced urgent care or acute care environment
  • DOT examiner preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide pharmacological treatment, including prescribing medications through electronic prescribing systems
  • Refer patients to specialty care with an emphasis on appropriateness and value
  • Follow up on labs, imaging, and closed-loop communication with other providers as needed
