About The Position

The Advanced Practice Provider provides patient care as an assistant to physicians in facilities and clinics, following established standards and practices. The role works in partnership with attending medical staff to coordinate APP work and deliver care that meets unit, hospital, and system goals. Work may be onsite, hybrid, or remote depending on departmental needs. Stormont Vail Health's professional nursing care is guided by Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring and the theory of Shared Governance, aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and values. The position requires a registered nurse credential and valid APRN licensure, or the required physician assistant credential, as applicable. Nurse practitioners must be certified by a recognized national certifying body. Additional certifications may be required for particular patient care settings or populations; the department director will provide details and the timeframe for attaining them at hire or transfer. APRNs must maintain RN competencies designated by federal and state organizations and Stormont Vail Health policy. This is a full-time, first-shift position with 40 hours per week and no supervisory or budget responsibility. The position is patient-facing and has hybrid remote-work capability. Remote work requires a quiet, distraction-free workspace that meets security and privacy standards, stable electricity, internet with at least 25 Mbps upload and download speed, focused attention during working hours, adherence to agreed break and attendance schedules, and compliance with the organization's Remote Worker Policy and annual Remote Work Agreement.
