About The Position

Join MSK’s Breast Surgery team as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and play a key role in delivering high-quality surgical oncology care. In this role, you will primarily support breast surgery cases at the Josie Robertson Surgery Center (JRSC), a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical facility, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Requirements

Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
RNFA Certification
Related National NP certification
BLS/ACLS certification
Or Graduate from an accredited PA program
NCCPA certification
Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
Strong clinical decision-making in fast-paced surgical environments
Ability to navigate complex clinical situations and prioritize effectively
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
Adaptable and flexible in response to evolving patient and operational needs
Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care

Responsibilities

Serve as a first or second assist in the Operating Room for breast surgery cases
Perform post-operative checks, rounding, and chart review to prepare patients for surgery
Collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
Support patients throughout their surgical journey, addressing medical and psychosocial needs
Contribute to patient education and clinical support programs to ensure continuity of care
Provide occasional coverage at the Main Campus OR as needed
