Requirements
- Active Florida license as one of the following: Physician Assistant (PA-C) – licensed through the Florida Board of Medicine OR Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN – FNP) – licensed through the Florida Board of Nursing
- Master’s degree from an accredited PA or NP program
- National certification: PA-C (NCCPA) or FNP-BC (ANCC) or FNP-C (AANP)
- Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- BLS certification
- Ability to meet Florida prescribing requirements, including controlled substance authority (if applicable)
- Must be eligible for credentialing with payers in Florida.
- Must pass Level 2 background screening (fingerprinting) as required for healthcare workers in Florida.
- Background checks and credentialing are required for this role.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics preferred
- Experience in value-based care or high-volume outpatient settings
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Responsibilities
- Examine patients, gather health histories, and evaluate their condition to make informed diagnoses and treatment decisions.
- Work within a collaborative practice framework to deliver comprehensive treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, EKGs, lab work).
- Counsel patients on preventative care, chronic disease management, family planning, and wellness.
- Perform procedures: Injections, suturing, wound care, immunizations, and other in-office procedures.
- Partner with clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care delivery.
