About The Position

Texas Oncology Granbury is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their Medical Oncology team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary with potential for productivity-based compensation, a generous CME budget, annual education days, and tailored professional onboarding. Select roles may be eligible for the Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP), an incentive program designed to attract, retain, and reward top talent, which typically vests over three years and is tied to individual performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology. The APP will provide direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care in collaboration with practice physicians, impacting quality of patient care and outcomes throughout the continuum of care. APPs are expected to support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
  • Physician Assistant: Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Level 1 (entry-level) requires a minimum of 0-3 years of experience.
  • Level 2 requires a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Level Sr requires 6 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care and management in the outpatient/inpatient/surgical setting, including documentation of visits, patient and family education, ordering and reviewing diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, managing symptoms, counseling and support, collaborating with and referring to other health care providers, and educating staff, students, and the community.
  • Engage in interdependent practice with collaborative physician(s) and team.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record proficiently for care delivery and complete documentation per Texas Oncology policy and guidelines.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships across the organization and the local medical community.
  • Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as appropriate.
  • Participate in tumor board, institutional trainings, and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
