About The Position

This role involves performing a variety of general dermatology procedures under physician supervision. The provider will be responsible for communicating changes in patient conditions to the physician, establishing and maintaining positive interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and healthcare personnel while ensuring patient confidentiality. A key aspect of this role is demonstrating proficiency and graduated autonomy within the scope of general dermatology practice over several months. The provider will also be responsible for recording patient health history in the electronic medical record system.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from accredited PA program.
• Minimum two years of experience as a physician assistant in dermatology.
• Certification from Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam (PANCE).
• PA licensure in the state where employed.
• Must have prescriptive authorization.
• Must be proficient with medical instruments and equipment required by the work.
• Communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians and representatives of the community.
• Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Be positive, open and flexible to learning new skills for various procedures.
• Maintain license through ongoing continuing medical education credits as required.

• 3+ years of previous experience working and providing care in a dermatology clinic.
