About The Position

MUSC Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our expanding Virtual Urgent Care team. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to practice at the forefront of telemedicine while delivering meaningful, patient-centered care to underserved populations across South Carolina. As a member of MUSC Health's innovative virtual care program, you will combine acute care expertise with advanced technology to evaluate, diagnose, and manage urgent medical needs through a state-of-the-art telehealth platform. This role is ideal for providers who enjoy autonomous practice, collaborative physician partnerships, and the opportunity to improve access to high-quality healthcare for patients who may otherwise face significant barriers to care.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Minimum of two years of Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Critical Care, or ICU experience
• South Carolina licensure or eligibility for licensure
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills
• Comfort practicing in a telehealth environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive virtual urgent care services utilizing MUSC Health's telemedicine platform
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute and episodic medical conditions
• Practice with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Improve healthcare access for underserved and vulnerable patient populations
• Utilize innovative technology to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
• Interpret diagnostic studies and develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Coordinate referrals and transitions of care when appropriate
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practice programs
• Precept future APP students and contribute to a culture of learning and clinical excellence
