About The Position

Cottage Clinical Network seeks an Advanced Practice Provider for their CCN Cottage Urgent Care-Ventura-Montalvo Square. This role is responsible for providing direct patient care to assigned patients within an urgent care setting. It is a professional level position working under limited direction yet in coordination with an APP lead. Typical work scenarios require specialized knowledge, critical thinking, good judgment based upon the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral, and sociological sciences skills, as well as strong customer service skills. Requirements

  • PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, as defined by the California Physician Assistant Board
  • PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: Master’s degree or certificate from a specialized medical training program associated with a medical school that includes classroom students and clinical experience
  • NURSE PRACTITIONER: Master of Nursing Degree
  • NURSE PRACTITIONER: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing as defined in Section 1482, Nurse Practice Act, Business and Professional Code
  • PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: Valid California license as a Physician Assistant by the Physician Assistant Board
  • PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: National certification granted after passing the PA National Certifying Exam administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5
  • PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers
  • NURSE PRACTITIONER: Current State of California Registered Nurse license
  • NURSE PRACTITIONER: Current California Licensure and Certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the California State Board
  • NURSE PRACTITIONER: Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Emergency Nurse Practitioner
  • NURSE PRACTITIONER: California Furnishing License - Controlled Substances II
  • NURSE PRACTITIONER: Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5
  • NURSE PRACTITIONER: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers
  • Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of Epic
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
  • One (1) year of experience as a Physician Assistant OR a Nurse Practitioner in urgent care, emergency department, primary care or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of experience as a Physician Assistant OR a Nurse Practitioner in urgent care, emergency department, or primary care
  • One (1) year of Nurse Practitioner experience, plus five (5) year's emergency department RN experience
