About The Position

Position Details: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Schedule: 4-10 hour weekdays (day shift), possible weekend rotation in future with no call requirements Role: Inpatient primary management of hematologic malignancies, stem cell transplant, and cellular therapies in Parkview Tower and occasional coverage in Outpatient Cellular Therapy Center as needed Exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic field of oncology with oncologists, pharmacists, nurses, and research staff in a highly collaborative inpatient setting! Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- <2 years of experience
- No supervisor experience
- Licensed APRN in Missouri
- National APRN Board Certifcatn
Nice To Haves
- Acute Care/ICU nursing or provider experience
- Oncology or heme/onc nursing or provider experience
- Doctorate in Nursing
- 2-5 years of experience
Responsibilities
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with patients, families, physicians, medical/surgical trainees, and other health professionals.
- Demonstrates the highest level of accountability for professional practice by participating in professional development, quality initiative/performance activities, and implementing standards of care within area of specialization.
- Provides patient- and family-centered care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for health recovery, illness prevention, disease treatment, or end-of-life care.
- Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for subspecialty patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
