About The Position

Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the Department of Radiology – MRI Team! Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post procedure instructions. Vet all Pacemaker MR and perform non conditional Pacemaker exams. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of procedure/testing. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Promotes wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
  • Completion of master’s level program in specialty area
  • BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications required
  • Prior APN/PA experience in cardiology required
  • Must be comfortable with technology and frequent changes in technology.
  • Will be required to program/reprogram 7 devices from various pacemaker/defibrillator manufacturers
  • Must be comfortable working independently and comfortable working and communicating with a variety of specialties

Nice To Haves

  • Cardiac device experience preferred.
