About The Position

Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the inpatient Hematology/Oncology team at Rainbow Babies and Children's hospital. The APP will provide onsite care of admitted patients under supervision of attending pediatric hematology/oncology physician (offsite), admitting patients, order entry, and documentation. The schedule is Nights (5:30p-6:30a) and weekends(6:30a-5:30p). APP and pediatric hematology/oncology experience preferred but not required. Pediatric NP or Family NP required. A Brief Overview The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for providing quality care for patients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specified by the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entity specific Medical Bylaws.

Requirements

Master's Degree from an accredited PA educational program (Required)
(MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing (Required)
1+ years as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)
1+ years as a Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
Demonstrated leadership skills. (Required proficiency)
Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency)
Computer skills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe. (Required proficiency)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook. (Required proficiency)
Physician Assistant (PA) (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (Required)
Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire)
Maintain national PA Certification (Required)
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required)
Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Ohio (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Current APRN License (Required)

Nice To Haves

APP and pediatric hematology/oncology experience preferred
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred)
