About The Position

Franciscan Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider with past or present Oncology work experience to join their Oncology – Hematology team at Franciscan Physician Network Oncology & Hematology Specialists in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate closely with another inpatient APP and a weekly rotation of medical oncologists in the inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have past or present experience in oncology and/or as a hospitalist, focusing on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. The provider will display exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with inpatient clinical staff, working collaboratively with physicians to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.

Requirements

• Master's Degree
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Nationally Recognized Certification
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Past or present experience in oncology and/or as a hospitalist
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Desire to develop strong ties with inpatient clinical staff

• Experience in Oncology is strongly desired

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with another inpatient APP.
• Collaborate with a weekly rotation of medical oncologists.
• Coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care.
• Collaborate with rotating oncologists on assessment and plan.
• Develop heightened inpatient oncology assessment skills.
• Engage with clinical staff providing direct patient care.
• Provide oversight of infusion center patients and be available for assistance as needed.
