About The Position

The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Division of Pulmonary/Critical Care- Lung Transplant Program is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care within the Hybrid (outpatient & inpatient) setting. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI at Center for Advanced Care at Froedtert Hospital. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who contributes to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. Position Highlights: Thriving & expanding program, Provide exceptional care of inpatient & outpatient lung transplant patients, Enthusiastically engage & educate patients & families; teach medical students, residents & affiliated health professionals.

Requirements

  • Advanced Practice Nurse: Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
  • Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
  • Wisconsin RN License (for Advanced Practice Nurse).
  • Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License (for Advanced Practice Nurse).
  • ACLS Certification.
  • BLS Certification.
  • DEA Certification.
  • Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization - Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AGACNP) highly preferred.
  • Wisconsin Physician Assistant License (for Physician Assistant).
  • Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) (for Physician Assistant).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous PA, NP, or RN experience in an inpatient pulmonary or lung transplant setting strongly preferred.
