Cleveland Clinic's Taussig Cancer Institute is currently seeking a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for the Palliative Medicine Program at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital. This position involves conducting new consults and follow-ups, and rounding with attending's and other team members. Additional responsibilities include: managing adult patients on the division including (but not limited to): symptom assessment and management, serious illness conversations, and goals of care. This position will be mostly based in the inpatient clinic with occasional weekend and holiday coverage. APP experience is preferred, however new graduates with extensive Oncology/ICU/hospice experience may be considered. PLEASE NOTE: For APRN's ACHPN Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care will be required within the first 2 years of hire. Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs.
