The Epilepsy Department is seeking a team-oriented and engaged Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our practice in the outpatient setting, caring for patients with seizures. The New Neurological Institute building will be opening in 2027, and this position is to accommodate our growing practice. To support this expansion, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to work alongside Epileptologists in paired and autonomous clinics. Typical duties will include seeing patients in the office or virtually and following up on results, telephone calls, and messages. Other rotations of our outpatient team include inbox coverage of the practice (virtual week) and Akron General coverage when our primary APP is on PTO. If you have experience or interest in Epilepsy, Neurology, or Neurosurgery, this may be the position for you! Newly licensed welcomed to apply. This is posted as a M-F 8a-5p position, with the possibility for flexibility with days/hours in the future. Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider who provides primary and/or specialty care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with the health care team in accordance with certification and licensure. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Responsible for dissemination of knowledge through instructing, leading and developing educational programs.
