About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant provides comprehensive patient care through the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients. Under the direction of a collaborating physician, this role works alongside other members of the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established protocols and scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Current NP or PA-C license
  • Master’s degree in Nursing/Physician Assistant program required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Proficiency of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance rules and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience as a mid-level provider preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients regarding condition, prognosis, health needs, and available services.
  • Bilingual language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients by reviewing medical history and performing appropriate physical exams in a medical office or clinical setting.
  • Interpret and evaluate patient data as authorized by physician for the purpose of determining management and treatment. Consult with physician as appropriate.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patient health conditions.
  • Prescribe, recommend, and regulate appropriate pharmacologic medicine.
  • Provide patient education and counseling regarding conditions, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.
  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical practices and options to support positive patient outcomes.
  • Document appropriately and communicate with supervising physicians in a timely manner, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, treatment notes, and other reports as requested.
  • Provide care for Advanced Prostate Cancer (APC) patients
  • Prescribed and manage advanced therapeutics
  • Conduct peer-to-peer reviews for PSMA PET imaging and APC medications
  • Collaborate with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Nurse Navigation
  • Screen patients for Advanced Therapies and Clinical Trial Eligibility
