Advanced Practice Provider - Neurology Inpatient
About The Position
Cooper University Health Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Advance Practice Nurse) for their General Neurology service line. This role involves managing a non-teaching general neurology service with a high level of clinical autonomy, working closely with general neurology, stroke neurology attendings, and neurology residents. The provider will be responsible for coverage on weekdays and weekends, with three 13-hour shifts per week. Comfort with reviewing imaging is expected, and training will be provided. Experienced candidates in Neurocritical Care, Neurosurgery, In-patient Neurology, or Out-patient Neurology are preferred, but new graduates (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) will also be considered.
Requirements
- Board-certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Advance Practice Nurse.
- Master's Degree - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Board certification Nurse Practitioner or Board certification as Physician Assistant.
- Nurse Practitioner must have acute care certification.
- Active New Jersey License.
- American Heart Association ACLS/BLS.
- CDS/DEA.
Nice To Haves
- Experienced candidates preferred (Neurocritical Care, Neurosurgery, In-patient Neurology, Out-patient Neurology).
