About The Position

Seattle Children’s is seeking a motivated and versatile Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or a Physician Assistant (PA), to join our growing Neurology – Headache Clinic team. This role is designed for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced ambulatory environment and is passionate about providing world-class pediatric care. This is a fully clinic-based position. While your primary deployment will be at our Bellevue Campus, flexibility is key; occasional coverage may be required at our surrounding clinic to ensure seamless patient care across the region.

Requirements

Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program.
One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.
Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington (for Nurse Practitioners).
Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner (for Nurse Practitioners).
Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington (for Physician Assistants).
Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (for Physician Assistants).
Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is required at time of hire and to be maintained continuously throughout employment. American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will also be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Professionals.
Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and must be maintained in good standing and in compliance with all medical staff bylaws, continuously throughout employment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care and assume primary responsibility for clinical management of patients in ambulatory, operating room, emergency department, and inpatient settings.
Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans.
Direct or participate in case management and continuing care.
Collaborate, refer, and consult with department attending physicians, specialists, and other members of the health care team to deliver effective, efficient, safe, and high quality care.
Contribute to organizational and departmental continuous performance and quality improvement projects.
Participate in education and research efforts for patients, families, and the health care team.
