About The Position

Seattle Children’s is seeking a dedicated and resilient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team. This is an opportunity to practice at the top of your license in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, providing critical care to neonates across our expansive regional program. As a member of our highly specialized team, you will assume direct responsibility for the clinical management of neonatal patients with both acute and chronic conditions. Your role includes: Clinical Excellence: Assessment, diagnosis, initiation of treatment, performance of life-saving procedures, and evaluation of outcomes. Collaboration: Working in a tiered system (Level II-IV) across seven institutions throughout the Pacific Northwest. Professional Growth: Engagement in clinical research, education, consultation, and the evaluation of clinical practice.

Requirements

  • For Nurse Practitioners: Minimum of a master’s degree specifically in a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current NNP Certification is required.
  • For Physician Assistants: Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current PA-C Certification is required.
  • Washington State Licensure (ARNP or PA-C).
  • DEA Registration for the State of Washington.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required within 6 months of hire for those rotating through our Level IV NICU.
