About The Position
Full time APP opportunity at Carilion Clinic St. Albans Hospital. PMHNP preferred but will also consider FNPs and PAs. Three 12 hour shifts, 7a-7p Fri/Sat Sun shifts. St. Albans is a mental health unit within the hospital that is committed to meeting the behavioral and mental health need of our patients. It consists of 36 bed inpatient unit with thriving outpatient practice. The Nurse Practitioner will report to the Section Chief and will be part of a behavioral health team. Carilion Clinic is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the behavioral health team at Carilion St. Albans Hospital. A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is preferred; however, qualified Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) with an interest or experience in behavioral health are encouraged to apply. Schedule This position offers a consistent schedule of three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Friday through Sunday, providing four days off each week. Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- 0 years of experience.
- Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
- AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
- Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
- Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
Nice To Haves
- PMHNP preferred.
- FNPs and PAs with an interest or experience in behavioral health are encouraged to apply.
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
