About The Position

Endeavor Health is continually recruiting experienced Immediate Care nurse practitioners and physician assistants for future full-time and part-time positions. Requirements

  • Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required
  • Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
  • Completion of master’s level program in specialty area
  • BLS/CPR certification required
  • Minimum of two years APP experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
  • Suturing, suture removal, I&D, ear irrigation, pelvic floor exams, POC testing: CBC/BMP, COVID/Flu, Strep, INR, advanced imaging

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients.
  • Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results.
  • Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions.
  • Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures.
  • Follows patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting.
  • Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates evidence-based practice.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty.
  • Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum.
  • Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health.
  • Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.
  • Promotes wellness and prevent illness and injury in various settings for individuals, families, and communities.
  • Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as resources and consultants.
  • Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience.
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals.
  • Supports the strategic plan of the organization.
  • Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.
