Texas Oncology is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their team at the Mt. Pleasant location. This is a full-time position with typical hours of Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. The level of this position (1, 2, or Sr) will be determined by the candidate's experience. Requirements

Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. This position is entry-level and typically requires a minimum of 0-3 years post MSN experience, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
Physician Assistant: Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position is entry-level and typically requires 0-3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
Clinical Nurse Specialist: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. This position is entry-level and typically requires a minimum of 0-3 years of post-MSN experience, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care in collaboration with practice physicians.
Impact quality of patient care and patient outcomes throughout the care continuum.
Support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response and prescribe therapies as indicated.
Perform procedures after appropriate training.
Assess patient/family needs and provide education.
Promote wellness and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
Incorporate developing knowledge of evidence-based research into clinical practice.
Develop knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
Complete patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
May provide case management for patients and their families, given limited knowledge of community resources.
May promote/provide staff education.
Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after-hour calls.
Other duties as assigned.
