About The Position

Texas Oncology Fort Worth is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) I to join their Medical Oncology team at the Keller Cancer Center. This is a full-time position with standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Texas Oncology is a leading community oncology provider dedicated to making advanced cancer care accessible. Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification.
  • Physician Assistant: Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life life support (BLS)/CPR certification.
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification.
  • Level 1 is entry-level and typically requires a minimum of 0-3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct diagnostic and therapeutic patient care in collaboration with practice physicians.
  • Impact quality of patient care and patient outcomes throughout the care continuum.
  • Support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
  • Provide direct care and management in outpatient/inpatient/surgical settings, including documentation, patient/family education, ordering/reviewing diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, symptom management, counseling, collaboration with other healthcare providers, and referrals.
  • Engage in interdependent practice with collaborative physician(s) and team.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record proficiently for care delivery and complete documentation per Texas Oncology policy.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships across the organization and local medical community.
  • Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as appropriate.
  • Participate in tumor board, institutional trainings, and meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
