About The Position

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene's section of Emergency Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide diagnostic evaluation and management of acute medical complaints for children and adults, presenting to the Emergency Department. Requirements

• Current (or eligible) certification to practice as a Physician's Assistant in the states of New Hampshire and Vermont.
• RN and APRN currently (or eligible) licensed in New Hampshire and Vermont.
• Successful completion of an approved NP program.

Nice To Haves

• Master's level education preferred for Physician Assistants.
• Master's level education required for Nurse Practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat pediatric and adult patients presenting with acute medical conditions in the Emergency Department.
• Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic testing, and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and perform procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and consulting services to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate patient disposition, including discharge, admission, and transfer planning.
• Document patient care accurately and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives.
