About The Position
Advanced Practice Provider – Critical Care – PRN Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for a PRN Advanced Practice Provider to join the Critical Care team. In this position, your primary responsibility is managing a caseload of critically ill patients in an intensive care setting under the direct supervision of the ICU supervising physician.
Requirements
- Graduate and licensure as a Physician's Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners or the American Academy of Physician's Assistants with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board
- Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing
Responsibilities
- Utilize specialized skill and knowledge performing physical exams
- Collect and properly document data utilizing EMR system
- Conduct necessary procedures, including: central lines, arterial lines, vascaths, chest tubes, and intubations
- Order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations
- Prescribe appropriate interventions and medications
- Provide direct patient care services in a specific ICU or step-down unit
