About The Position

Sentara Community Care is hiring an Advanced Practice provider with strong PEDS experience to work the Mobile Unit in the Greater Hampton Roads area. This role involves recurring mobile clinics and events. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing health care services to individuals, families, and/or groups under the auspices of Sentara. Services include conducting health assessments, prescribing treatments, promoting health, and providing disease prevention and management, all under the direction and supervision of an assigned primary care physician. The NP is expected to participate in quality assurance and improvement activities, engage in team activities, and use resources appropriately.

Requirements

  • Master's Level Degree- Nurse Practitioner
  • Registered Nurse (RN) Multi State - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) OR Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) OR Registered Nurse (RN) Multi State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP) OR Registered Nurse (RN) Single State - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
  • Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse (APRN) - Nursing License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP) OR Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Nursing License - North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON)
  • BLS Certification
  • 2-3 years of minimum NP experience required
  • Peds Experience Required

  • ACLS Certification
