About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support growing cardiology demand at Indiana Heart Physicians in Indianapolis, Indiana. The successful candidate will join a large, collegial, hospital-owned private-practice group comprising 22 cardiologists, 2 cardiac hospitalists, and 24 advanced practice providers. Indiana Heart Physicians provides multidisciplinary cardiovascular services, including cardio-oncology, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, cardio-genetics, and structural heart care, along with advanced cardiac imaging, research, and clinical trials.

The position serves patients aged 18 and older with cardiovascular conditions in office and hospital settings. The primary focus is regular follow-up visits in the ambulatory setting, with additional care for patients in acute settings. The provider is expected to build strong relationships with patients and the community. The schedule is four 10-hour weekday shifts, with no weekends, holidays, or weekend/holiday call. The role may involve travel to outreach sites.

Requirements

• Current State of Indiana Physician Assistant licensure for Physician Assistant candidates.
• Current NCCPA certification or certification from another agency recognized by the American Academy of PAs for Physician Assistant candidates.
• Degree from an ARC-PA-accredited or predecessor PA program for Physician Assistant candidates.
• Current State of Indiana Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse licensure for Advanced Practice Nurse candidates.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification from a national certifying organization for Advanced Practice Nurse candidates.
• Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner educational program for Advanced Practice Nurse candidates.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Master's degree required.
• Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or nationally recognized certification required.

Responsibilities
