About The Position

Fox Chase Cancer Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or CRNP) to join our Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team. This role is ideal for someone interested in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across the reconstructive surgery continuum, from initial consultation and surgical planning through postoperative recovery and long-term follow-up. The APP will work closely with dedicated plastic and reconstructive surgeons and a multidisciplinary team, including fellow APPs, to care for patients undergoing a broad range of reconstructive procedures. The position includes a mix of outpatient clinic care and active first assisting in the operating room in both shared and independent settings. This role provides exposure to complex reconstructive surgery and opportunities for clinical growth, leadership development, and participation in academic and quality initiatives.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Masters OR Doctorate degree : Nursing (MSN or DNP)
  • MPA-LIC - PA Medical Physician Asst Lic
  • NCCPA - Certified Physician Assistant
  • CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner
  • RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License

Nice To Haves

  • Previous surgical, reconstructive, oncology, or plastic surgery experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outpatient clinic visits independently and alongside faculty, including new patient consultations, pre-operative evaluations, post-operative follow-ups, and long-term reconstructive care
  • Support perioperative care including surgical planning, coordination of care, and postoperative management
  • Actively first assist in the operating room across a broad range of plastic and reconstructive procedures
  • Review and interpret imaging, pathology, and laboratory results to guide patient care decisions
  • Perform office-based procedures including tissue expansion, drain management, seroma aspirations, wound care, and suture/staple removal
  • Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams including surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, rehabilitation services, and nursing teams
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, procedures, and recovery expectations
  • Participate in multidisciplinary discussions, quality improvement initiatives, education, research, and professional development opportunities
