Advanced Practice Provider (APP) (PA) Surgery, Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery - Instructor
About The Position
The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical and cosmetic services for the plastic & reconstructive surgery team, including ED consults, OR first assist, post-operative visits, follow-up appointments, new patient exams, and cosmetic procedures (injections, laser treatments, etc.). The candidate will be in close collaboration with the surgeons, hospital and clinic staff. Eligibility for prescriptive authority is required. This position requires the ability to handle and lift patients and operate required equipment. The position may also require a stationary position or movement for extended periods as required during the provision of services. This position requires frequent communication and must be able to exchange accurate information. The NP/PA may also be exposed to communicable diseases and bodily fluids, and it is expected that the candidate will be appropriately knowledgeable regarding universal safety precautions. This position will be required to work at multiple UCHealth locations and the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant
- Meets and maintains specific requirements of the Medical Review Board (Physician Assistant)
- Ability to obtain prescriptive authority (DEA License)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship

Responsibilities
- Provide independent clinical and cosmetic services for the plastic & reconstructive surgery team.
- Conduct ED consults.
