Children’s Hospital Colorado is a leading pediatric healthcare system nationally recognized for excellence in clinical care, research, education, quality, and patient safety. It is the primary pediatric teaching hospital for the University of Colorado School of Medicine and is integrated with the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The Children’s Hospital Colorado campus in Colorado Springs, opened in 2019, is a full-service pediatric hospital offering advanced pediatric and neonatal care to a seven-state region. It includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), a Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, and pediatric medical-surgical units. It also houses southern Colorado’s only dedicated pediatric Emergency Department, Level 2 Pediatric Trauma center, and the region’s first pediatric-only operating rooms, pediatric oncology and infusion services, advanced imaging, a pediatric sleep laboratory, and comprehensive pediatric specialty care. The Division of Pediatric Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine has a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position available at the rank of Instructor for a Pediatric General Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA). Under the direction of the full-time faculty or designee, this position provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical care services at Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO), Colorado Springs.
