About The Position

The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Department/Division/Program of Anesthesia is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary or specialty medical care within the inpatient unit of the CVICU. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.

Requirements

• Advanced Practice Nurse: Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
• Wisconsin RN License (for Advanced Practice Nurse).
• Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License (for Advanced Practice Nurse).
• DEA registration.
• Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization (for Advanced Practice Nurse).
• Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AGACNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care NP (AGPCNP), Family NP (FNP), Neonatal NP (NNP), Pediatric NP (PNP), Psychiatric Mental Health NP (PMHNP), or Women’s Health NP (WHNP) specialty certification (for Advanced Practice Nurse).
• Wisconsin Physician Assistant License (for Physician Assistant).
• Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) (for Physician Assistant).

• Provide primary or specialty medical care within the inpatient unit of the CVICU.
