About The Position

Join Seattle Children's compassionate team of pediatric mental health experts. In this hybrid Ambulatory Psychiatry role, you will provide comprehensive clinical management for pediatric psychiatry patients across ambulatory, community-based (including telepsychiatry), and acute care environments. This position offers a flexible schedule blending remote telehealth with approximately one in-person clinic day per week, rotating systematically between our North Clinic in Everett, South Clinic in Federal Way, and Magnuson Clinic in Seattle.

Requirements

Master's degree as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program
One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.
Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington (For Nurse Practitioners)
Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner (For Nurse Practitioners)
Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington (For Physician Assistants)
Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (For Physician Assistants)
Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is required at time of hire and to be maintained continuously throughout employment. American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will also be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Professionals.
Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and must be maintained in good standing and in compliance with all medical staff bylaws, continuously throughout employment.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary clinical provider for pediatric psychiatry patients. Obtain histories, perform appropriate physical evaluations, order and interpret diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, and design evidence-based treatment plans.
Direct and participate in case management and continuing care to ensure seamless transitions for patients and families across care settings.
Partner closely with attending physicians, psychologists, social workers, and interprofessional teams to deliver safe, high-quality, family-centered care.
Contribute to organizational and departmental Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI) initiatives to elevate patient outcomes.
Participate in teaching, family education, and departmental research efforts to advance pediatric behavioral healthcare.
