About The Position

Centurion is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) to provide comprehensive healthcare services at the Western IL Correctional Center in Mt. Sterling, IL. This role operates under the supervision of a physician within a correctional environment, focusing on assisting in healthcare delivery and patient care management. The position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, performing patient assessments, diagnosing conditions, and managing medications. Unique aspects of correctional healthcare include a diverse patient population in a secure setting, freedom from insurance and reimbursement complexities, consistent patient interaction without cancellations or no-shows, and a stable salary not dependent on patient volume. Providers are not required to sign employment contracts or non-compete agreements.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Illinois APRN license
• Ability to pass background check
• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
