About The Position

Under the clinical direction of the Chief of Psychiatry, provides primary services to agency clients/patients. Maintains required records and documentation. Provides consultation to other Center staff as requested.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing and valid Ohio license
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in Ohio
  • Current, full, active, certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body.
  • Able to obtain a valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license
  • Must work within a Standard Care Arrangement.
  • May be required to travel between sites as necessary
  • 2 years of advanced practice nursing experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides routine evaluations and follow up care for agency clients/patients.
  • Utilizes evidenced-based nursing practice or physician assistant practice appropriate to the setting.
  • Identifies professional learning curve and routinely engages in formal and/or informal clinical supervision appropriate to needs.
  • Maintains medical charts, records and documentation in accordance with standard nursing practice and agency policies.
  • Completes clinical work tasks during work hours each day.
  • Provides assistance and direction to agency staff in establishing treatment/service plans, as needed.
  • Knows and utilizes system resources. Identifies system limitations and problem solves to meet client needs.
  • Maintains professional composure under stress.
