About The Position

Under the clinical direction of the Chief of Psychiatry, provides primary services to agency clients/patients. Maintains required records and documentation. Provides consultation to other Center staff as requested.

Requirements

Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing and valid Ohio license
Current, full, active, and unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in Ohio
Current, full, active, certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body.
Able to obtain a valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license
Must work within a Standard Care Arrangement.
May be required to travel between sites as necessary
2 years of advanced practice nursing experience

Responsibilities

Provides routine evaluations and follow up care for agency clients/patients.
Utilizes evidenced-based nursing practice or physician assistant practice appropriate to the setting.
Identifies professional learning curve and routinely engages in formal and/or informal clinical supervision appropriate to needs.
Maintains medical charts, records and documentation in accordance with standard nursing practice and agency policies.
Completes clinical work tasks during work hours each day.
Provides assistance and direction to agency staff in establishing treatment/service plans, as needed.
Knows and utilizes system resources. Identifies system limitations and problem solves to meet client needs.
Maintains professional composure under stress.
