About The Position

The Advanced Practice Clinical Liaison facilitates partnerships with healthcare organizations and community agencies to develop clinical site opportunities to support the education of students in the Kramer School of Nursing Advanced Practice Programs. The Liaison is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and maintaining clinical placement opportunities for students in support of established curriculum, success measures, and compliance requirements. The Liaison serves as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and external entities throughout the placement acquisition and assignment process. The Liaison reports directly to the Operations Manager and works closely with other staff and faculty within the Kramer School of Nursing.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years’ direct experience in coordinating clinical placement or three years’ experience in health care management, health care delivery, and/or higher education administrative coordination.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to establish a rapport with members of the healthcare/medical community; strength in developing and maintaining professional relationships
  • Ability to quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the APRN program to accurately reflect and promote the programs to students, preceptors, university constituents, and agencies
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, and willingness to become adept in new university software packages and procedures.
  • Ability to reach out to appropriate sources to get the resources or find information needed to be successful.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred areas of study include nursing, healthcare administration, marketing and/or communications or another related field.
  • A suitable combination of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with clinical sites and preceptors
  • Ensure compliance requirements for clinical site, preceptor and other healthcare partner relationships
  • Coordinate administrative activities associated with clinical placement of students
  • Serve as the primary staff touchstone for graduate students throughout the clinical placement process
  • Other duties as assigned.
