About The Position

The Advanced Operations Engineer leads new product introduction (NPI) and process development efforts to transition products from concept to full-scale production. The role serves as the technical interface between customers, program management, and manufacturing, working to achieve quality, cost, and delivery objectives. It includes supporting manufacturing processes and equipment, developing production documentation and tooling requirements, supporting builds and production ramp-up, and improving process performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field).
• 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience supporting NPI in a contract manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, including IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in regulated industries such as Medical, Aerospace, or Defense.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP and MES systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical activities for new product introductions through production release.
• Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Develop manufacturing process flows, work instructions, and tooling requirements.
• Support first builds, pilot runs, and production ramp-up.
• Optimize SMT, through-hole, box build, and test processes.
• Drive yield improvement, scrap reduction, and process capability.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Production.
• Interface with customers on technical and manufacturing topics.
