You’ll deliver specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Using your extensive network knowledge, you’ll coordinate third party maintenance for network equipment and troubleshoot problems with department users and department network administrators. We’ll rely on you to maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, hubs, bridges and gateways, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline/field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines/fields.
  • Develop and provide innovative and creative solutions to a variety of difficult problems of considerable scope and complexity, using established precedent and policies.
  • Display initiative on assignments, exercise independent judgment and professionally execute projects with little direction.
